The Fallout Shelter Android release date has been confirmed, with the Vault Simulator arriving on August 13.
Fallout Shelter, Bethesda’s mobile exclusive title released for iOS devices during E3 back in June, is finally coming to Android.
Bethesda broke the news during its Fallout 4 presentation at Quakecon this past weekend, where it also revealed that the Android version will be launching alongside a major content update.
The update will add an assortment of new enemies to the game, including Deathclaws and Molerats, the latter will be able to infest your vault much like radroaches can. Deathclaws are also spooky, so watch out for those if they sneak into your vault.
Mister Handy, Fallout’s famous robotic assistant is also being added to the game as a reward of some kind, how this is earned isn’t quite clear yet though. Your robotic companion will explore your vault automatically collecting resources, protect occupants from attackers and even head into the Wasteland to explore.
This update will launch simultaneously with the Android release of Fallout Shelter, and will be released as a patch for the iOS version at the same time.

Fallout Shelter was first revealed as part of Bethesda’s E3 press conference this year, where the company announced the title would launch on the very same day.
The goal of Fallout Shelter, according to Bethesda’s Todd Howard “was to build something we’d really want to play on our phones, something that made us a smile and had more depth than other things we were seeing.”
It was announced recently that Fallout Shelter had already grossed a total of $5 million in profit, making it one of the top earners on the App Store.
