Fallout 4 wins Best of Show at E3 2015

Fallout 4 has been classed Best of Show at E3 2015 by the media and judges alike.

Bethesda’s upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure also took home Best PC Game and Best Role-Playing Game.

We had a pretty smashing E3 this year, didn’t we? Fallout 4, Final Fantasy VII and The Last Guardian. A flurry of announcements that could melt any fanboy’s heart.

But what did we love most? Well the results for this year’s E3 Game Critics Awards are in, so let’s take a quick run down of the winners.

Fallout 4 took home the Best of Show award, with Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4, Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn and DICE’s Star Wars: Battlefront also being nominated for the honour.

Collectively, Fallout 4 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End took home the most awards. Nathan Drake’s latest effort managed to bag Best Action/Adventure, Best Console Game and an extra special award for its brilliant graphics.

The Oculus Touch controllers for the Oculus Rift won Best Hardware, a category predominantly filled with virtual-reality peripherals and the Xbox One Elite Controller.

It’s no surprise that the galaxy spanning No Man’s Sky claimed the Best Indie Game award, a title that many have been anticipating since the game’s unveiling in 2013.

Judging purely by publisher nominations, Sony was the top dog this year, followed shortly by Electronic Arts and Bethesda.
