Bethesda will never release an Xbox 360 or PS3 version of Fallout 4.
There won’t ever be a paired down version of Fallout 4 for last-gen consoles – that means not at launch, and not anytime afterwards.
Although the whisperings on the internet had suggested there may well be a last-gen version of Fallout 4 on the cards, but launching later than the PC, Xbox One and PS4 editions.
This was also backed up by code on Bethesda’s own Fallout teaser that was interpreted to suggest the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were inbound in the future.
However, Bethesda has now shut down the rumours of a last-gen launch entirely.
“It is not coming to 360 and PS3,” said community manager Matt Grandstaff on NeoGAF. “The stuff we’re doing will never work there.”

Fallout 4 was announced last week for a PC, Xbox One and PS4 release supposedly later this year.
From the looks of the reveal trailer, the game should be set in a post-apocalyptic version of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts wasteland.
Bethesda has promised that we’ll see a lot more of Fallout 4 during its presentation at E3 next week.
The developer’s presentation starts on June 14 at 6pm PST or if you’re dedicated 2am BST here in the UK.
TrustedReviews will be on hand to bring you all the latest from E3 2015 as it happens.
