Fallout 4 has more dialogue than Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined

Voice recording for Fallout 4 is complete, with more dialogue than Fallout 3 and Skyrim put together.

There will be plenty of talking in Fallout 4, as Bethesda reveals that the post-apocalyptic title will include more dialogue than its previous two games combined.

A total of 111,000 lines of dialogue have been recorded for Fallout 4 . After “many years” the herculean task of recording everything is now complete, Bethesda said on Twitter yesterday.

This is a clear indication of the scope and scale Bethesda is aiming for with Fallout 4, the first entry in post-apocalyptic franchise since Fallout: New Vegas in 2010.

Whilst ambitious, such an abundance of dialogue in Fallout 4 isn’t too surprising, considering they are now being powered by next generation hardware.

The PS4 and Xbox One both utilise Blu-ray discs, eliminating the space restrictions that often hindered the previous cycle of consoles.

Fallout 4 will be the first in the franchise to feature a speaking protagonist, so much of the additional dialogue likely stems from this.

Players will have the choice to play as either a male or female character, customised to their liking before being thrust into the Boston Wasteland.

Fallout 4 will feature an opening that takes place before the nuclear apocalypse, providing us with a small glimpse of how life was before everyone was spooky and radiated.

We don’t yet know how large Fallout 4 will be, both in terms of the game world and on your hard drive.

Fallout 4 will release on November 10 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
