Fallout 4 concept art gives us a look at the creepy androids

Bethesda has released some Fallout 4 concept art, giving us a good look at the game’s android population.

Ahead of the November 10 Fallout 4 release date, Bethesda has pulled back the rubbery skin on the game’s android population.

The game studio has shared several new concept art images pulled straight from the upcoming book The Art of Fallout.

And two of those new images focus on the Fallout 4 android synths, which admittedly are pretty damn creepy.

These synths have been teased before, with Bethesda giving us brief glimpses of “Synth Striders” and “Synth Assaulters” in the Fallout 4 combat trailer, but we expect that they’re not all quite as murderous.

After all an early Fallout 4 image showed a mysterious stranger with a skeletal, metallic hand poking out from under a duster jacket, which could suggest that synths are in some way accepted in parts of society.

You might remember that the Replicated Man quest line from Fallout 3 featured a synth as the main character, but it looks like Fallout 4’s android will be a lot more convincing – especially skin-wise.

The Replicated Man story gave you the choice of helping him escape from his creator (an Institute scientist) or turn him in for reprogramming.

Aside from the android images, the other recently released concept art shows off a harbour with a rusted battleship and a bridge, as well as a pristine suit of Power Armour.
