Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered coming to PC this week?

Quantic Dream could be releasing Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered for PC later this week.

Although we’ve had no official confirmation from the Heavy Rain maker, it looks like an enhanced version of Fahrenheit could be on the cards for a January release.

According to a product listing on Amazon.com, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered will arrive on Thursday, January 29 for PC.

The Amazon listing comes complete with screenshots for the remastered version of the early Quantic Dream title, suggesting that although the date might not be correct, we could expect to see the revamped version arrive in the near future.

Fahrenheit was the first title from Quantic Dream to feature the studio’s synonymous cinematic storytelling style and minimalist gameplay. It was the starting base for games like the latest Beyond: Two Souls and the classic Heavy Rain.

The game was released back in 2005, and was renamed Indigo Prophecy in America to avoid any confusion with the documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.

If Amazon is to be believed, the remastered version is combining both of the game’s titles.

Although Quantic Dream hasn’t officially confirmed the game’s release, a website entitled A Chilling Feeling has appeared online. It’s believed to be connected to the game, and has a countdown suggesting some kind of official statement will be made tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27.

The listing also reveals that the game should arrive with all of the game’s original scenes “uncensored and uncut”. Fahrenheit was cut in North America, as well as renamed, due to the amount of sexual content it contained – including an interactive sex scene.

“All of the in-game textures have been meticulously recreated in HD for mobile and desktop. Players can switch between the updated visuals and the original art assets with the touch of a button,” reads the Amazon blurb.
