Fable III, Halo: Reach among 16 Xbox 360 games to hit Xbox One

Microsoft has revealed some last-gen heavy hitters among the latest batch of Xbox 360 games available via Xbox One Backwards Compatibility.

Following the launch of 104 old school games alongside the Windows 10-powered update last month, Microsoft has announced a further 16 games.

If previously purchased for the Xbox 360, Xbox One owners can now download and play Fable III, Halo: Reach, Portal Still Alive and Deus Ex: Human Revolution among others.

As with the other titles on offer, Xbox One owners will be able to insert the old discs into the new console in order to download them from the web at no extra cost.

Microsoft has promised to continually update the library and is listening to suggestions from fans.

However, much will depend on developers’ and publishers’ willingness to make their old titles available on the new console. For example, there’s nothing from the Call of Duty of GTA Series’ as yet and absolutely zilch from EA sports.

The backwards compatibility drive aims to give old games new life by allowing access to new Xbox One features like Game DVR, Screenshots and Windows 10 streaming.

The full list of new titles is as follows:

  • Braid
  • DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION
  • Doritos Crash Course
  • Fable III
  • Halo: Reach
  • Hydro Thunder
  • Iron Brigade
  • Kane & Lynch 2
  • Motocross Madness
  • MS.PAC-MAN
  • Peggle
  • Portal: Still Alive
  • Spelunky
  • Splosion Man
  • Ticket to Ride
  • Zuma’s Revenge!
