EE’s Euro Pass offers 4G abroad for £3 per day

EE has announced a new scheme called Euro Pass, which makes it cheaper than ever to use the network abroad.

The UK carrier’s new Euro Pass system offers up unlimited texts and calls plus 100MB of 4G internet per day.

There’s also a further 400MB of data available, but it won’t be 4G so you’ll see a drop in download/upload speed.

It costs £3 a day, and is available to use in 39 European countries.

It’s worth noting that the charge rises to £4 per day if you’re not on a 4GEE Extra plan.

You also won’t be able to go over the maximum 500MB data cap, so you won’t be able to use too much and rack up a hefty charge.

If you want to access the Euro Pass, you’ll need to text EUROPASS or EURODATA to 150. The charge will be deducted automatically.

It’s worth remembering, however, that the Euro Pass will be a short-lived venture for EE.

That’s because by 2017, roaming charges will be abolished entirely across the whole of the European Union.

If you’re going on holiday, you’ll need a decent phone to bring with you. Check out our smartphone group test video below:

AVOID.....

This is only a good add-on if you are an avid phone user.

Whilst in France recently I sent 3 texts on 3 separate days. This automatically started the euro pass for that day and incurred a daily £4.00 charge (usual text cost would have been 5.2 pence).

If you are only looking to use you phone occasionally then avoid this at all costs.

Charged £12 for three texts instead of 15.6 pence.

Called EE to complain and as usual they are less than helpful.

Hope this helps somebody!!
