EE roaming problems fixed? Network claims outage balls up is over

EE users reported severe problems accessing roaming services and data abroad to start the week. The network now claims the outage issues have been resolved – but you can try our potential fixes for the network problem if you still can't call, text or use the internet in faraway lands.

The latest guidance from EE suggests that normal roaming service has resumed for its subscribers, following roughly three days of problems:

What should you do if you're abroad but still unable to roam? EE and other UK mobile networks recommend the usual suite of fixes, including turning your phone on and off again, or toggling flight mode on and off, which essentially resets your device's connectivity.

Users have reported varying degrees of success with these options.

iPhone user? You have a nuclear option to enjoy. You can do a hard reset of your network settings by opening 'Settings;, then hitting 'General' > 'Reset' > 'Reset Network Settings'.

Performing this delete all your remembered Wi-Fi networks and paired Bluetooth devices, so it's only really worth it as a last resort.
