iPhone 7 owners will love EE’s new wireless headphone deals

Beats Apple

If Apple follows through on rumours and ditches the headphone jack with today’s iPhone 7 launch, EE customers will be in luck.

EE has refreshed its ‘Add to Plan’ scheme, which now lets existing customers spread the cost of wireless headphones over 11 months. The price of the headphones is added onto your monthly bill, and you won’t have to pay more than the retail price – that means no interest, folks.

The good news is that you can pick up some pretty decent headphones with the money, including lug-huggers built by Bang & Olufsen, Skull Candy, and Apple’s Beats. Prices start from £3 per month, and even include wireless headphones like the Skull Candy Uproar Wireless.

You can also pick up a bunch of other products on Add to Plan too, including health trackers, smartwatches, VR headsets, the Fitbit fitness range, and even a Samsung Gear VR – that’s £8 per month.

Speaking at the announcement, Sharon Meadows, EE Director of Devices, said:

“In recent years, we’ve seen a growing trend in customers wanting to match their smartphone with the latest tech kit – with demand for wireless headphones and earphones becoming especially prevalent. To meet this need, we’re refreshing our Add to Plan offering, making it even simpler and more accessible for customers to choose from a great range of accessories that help meet their lifestyle tech needs."

The announcement comes on the same day that Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7. The Californian tech giant is set to reveal its new phone at 18:00 UK time tonight, with rumours suggesting that the new handset won’t feature a headphone jack. That means EE’s Add to Plan wireless headphones could be seriously helpful – does the network already know Apple’s plans, perhaps?
