The OnePlus 3 is now just days away, so here’s another tantalising leak to whet your appetite.
New images taken with a OnePlus 3 have been posted to Chinese social media site Weibo. Normally this is where we’d question their legitimacy, but not this time – the shots were uploaded by none other than the CEO of OnePlus, Liu Zuohu (anglicized as Pete Lau).
There are three images in total, all taken with the rear-facing camera. Check them out:
So what do these photos tell us about the OnePlus 3? Well not much. The EXIF data on the photos reveals a 4,640 x 3,480 resolution, which means the rear camera has at least a 16-megapixel resolution – that’s what we expected.
And we already know that the front-facing camera has an 8-megapixel resolution thanks to this selfie posted by the CEO earlier this month:
We’re going to refrain from commenting on the quality of the photos because there’s every chance that the OnePlus 3 in question is a pre-production model. As such, it wouldn’t be fair to judge the phone so soon. You can expect our full review in the coming weeks.
The OnePlus 3 is set to debut on June 14, and is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display with a Full HD screen resolution. There are three rumoured device variants: 2GB RAM/16GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage, and 6GB RAM/64GB Storage. It’s tipped to run on Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 820 chip, and is likely to price below £300 – although that’s not confirmed.
