Gaming giant Electronic Arts has got into the festive spirit with the now annual EA Christmas sale seeing a number of EA iPhone and iPad apps reduced to just 69p in price.

With a total of 55 games featuring limited period price cuts, UK and US iPhone and iPad users can now make use of the tempting Apple App Store based EA Christmas sale with a selection of titles including the recently launched FIFA 13 app now taking it easier on your wallet.

Far from the only recognisable face on the sales list, a plethora of EA’s high-profile console titles have made the jump to Apple’s latest smartphone and tablet offerings such as the iPhone 5 and iPad mini, many of which not sport a reduced price tag.

Lining up alongside FIFA 13 on the cut price app list, the recently released Need for Speed Most Wanted features alongside a selection of its predecessors including Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed Undercover, all of which will set wannabe owners back 69p apiece.

Other titles now hosting a sub £1 price tag include Monopoly, sports hits Madden NFL 2012 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12, as well as Fight Night Champions and NBA Jam.

For those not taken by EA’s sports collection, the likes of Tetris, Mass Effect Infiltrator, The Sims 3 Ambitions, The Simpsons Arcade and Battlefield Company have also joined the EA Christmas sale mix. Although Scrabble for iPhone has dropped to an appeasing 69p, the Scrabble iPad offering will still see users forced to fork out a hefty £6.99.
