EA Games to launch 3 new IPs in Q1 2016

EA Games has announced it will launch three new IPs in the first quarter of 2016.

According to the developer’s CEO Andrew Wilson, EA Games has three brand new titles to launch early next year.

He revealed the news during the company’s investor call that followed the company’s latest financial results.

Wilson explained that there would be three new and completely original games launching before the end of April 2016.

“We have more new experiences coming throughout the year,” explained House. “Our live services will continue to evolve with new content. We’ll have some great new mobile games, and we’re excited to have three new and original IP titles launching in Q4.”

House didn’t elaborate on what these IPs will be. However, we’d put good money on one of them being adorable woolly platformer Unravel.

It could even be the as yet unnamed Criterion project that’s something to do with cars and other vehicles.

Of course, Wilson has promised that another Battlefield is coming next year, but we expect that to land around Christmas time and is as far from a new IP as you can get.

“Looking further ahead, we’re preparing for more new games for our players,” said House. “The reaction to a first look at Mass Effect Andromeda at E3 was incredibly positive.”

“We have a new Battlefield experience coming in Q3 FY 2017 and another new Star Wars Project being led by the dynamic team of Jade Raymond and Amy Hennig. These are just a few of the new experiences in development across our studios today.”
