Dyson Hot + Cool heater fan launched to tackle all four seasons

Dyson has expanded its selection of bladeless air multiplier fans, with the Dyson Hot + Cool landing as a multipurpose option for all seasons.

As adept at heating a room in winter as it is keeping you cool in the summer, the new Dyson Hot + Cool, a follow-on to the Dyson Hot, builds on the company’s air multiplying technologies to draw in a hefty 28 litres of air per second, kicking it out at your temperature of choice.

“It’s frustrating when temperatures fluctuate,” Dyson founder and design mastermind Sir James Dyson said. “You’re warm one minute, shivering the next so we created a machine that heats and cools effectively.”

Speaking on the development processes which saw 45 Dyson engineers fine-tune the machine, he added: “We increased the output of the brushless motor by 33 per cent, improving cooling performance, whilst maintaining fast even room heating.”

Dyson Hot + Cool Features
With an inbuilt intelligent thermostat regulating a room’s temperature to keep the space at anywhere between 1 degree Celsius and 28 degrees,  the newly unveiled Dyson Hot + Cool boasts nine asymmetrically aligned fins to produce a smooth, constant and un-buffeted airflow.

Weighing in at just 2.57kg, the Dyson Hot + Cool can be easily and quickly moved throughout your property, with the company’s now familiar air multiplier technologies seeing air accelerated through a 2.5mm aperture, set within the unit’s oval form. Unlike a number of heaters which simply heat the air in front of them, the Dyson Hot follow-on will even distribute heat throughout a room, maintaining an even temperature throughout.

Ensuring added safety, the Dyson Hot + Cool, which will automatically cut out if knocked over, features no visible heating elements and a low surface temperatures, with heated output generated by passing the airflow over self-regulating ceramic stones.

Drawing in 28 litres of air per second thanks to a mixed flow impeller, the Dyson Hot + Cool, which comes with a two year parts and labour guarantee, is set to be made available in a selection of colour schemes, with nickel, blue, black and white options all set to be made available.

Aiding ease of use, Dyson’s all seasons air multiplier boasts a boxed remote control, allowing users to turn the device on and off, as well as alter the temperature, airflow and oscillation, all without having to move to use the built-in physical controls.

Dyson Hot + Cool Release Date and Price

With a Dyson Hot + Cool UK release date set for next Thursday, March 7, Dyson has revealed that it is to sell the device through its official website, as well as third party retailers.

A Dyson Hot + Cool price tag has been set at a premium £349.99. Although far from the cheapest device on the market, the Dyson Hot + Cool reportedly comes with a number of cost saving benefits, heating a room for cheaper than conventional methods.
