Ultra-popular iPhone casual game Draw Something has hit an eye-opening landmark. More than three billion drawings have been made within the game since its launch at the beginning of February.

More than 20 million people have used the app, equating to around 150 drawings per person. While there are some Draw Something fans in the office, none of us have made quite that many scribbles yet. For the uninititated, Draw Something is a game where you have to draw a specific thing, prompted by the game, with the aim of getting someone - whether a friend or stranger from across the globe - to guess what it's meant to be. A bit like Pictionary, then.Draw Something

It's so popular that, at the time of writing, it has bumped Angry Birds Space off the iTunes top spot in the US. It costs 69p, and there's also a free version available, which has a few ads in it. You can use your Facebook friends list to find people to play with, type in another player's email or username, or just let the game select a random partner from across the globe.

The colossal success of the game led to casual gaming giant Zynga buying Draw Something publisher OMGPOP for a reported $180 million. Previous OMGPOP games include Puppy World and Boom Friends. Not heard of them? Us neither. It shows that all it takes is one big smash to go from zero to hero in the iOS gaming world. Hands up if you're a Draw Something addict...
