Netflix is “exploring the opportunity” of its service on Switch
UPDATE (17/01/2017):
Netflix has issued a new statement regarding the possibility of its streaming service coming to Nintendo Switch:
“We are still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time. The original statement from the Netflix CS twitter handle has been modified to reflect this.”
Original story follows:
Netflix has said it currently has no plans to bring its streaming service to Nintendo Switch in the near future.
Speaking to a fan on social media, Netflix confirmed that it doesn’t have a version of its application in development for Nintendo’s platform.
“Hey there! There are currently no plans for Netflix on Nintendo Switch. We appreciate your feedback on it!”
It’s somewhat surprising that the streaming giant has no plans for the hybrid console considering its popularity, and the fact that Nintendo’s last piece of hardware supports it in full.

Netflix has been available on PS4 and Xbox One for several years now. Considering the portability of the Switch, having a streaming platform at the ready would be excellent.
Perhaps we’ll see it released in future, or the company is actively taking feedback and pushing it into development?
Despite its unfortunate lack of Netflix, Nintendo Switch is still a positively fantastic console with an exceptional library of games.
