Do you get phantom vibration syndrome?

The internet is abuzz with talk of 'phantom vibration' syndrome - a phenomenon where people mistakenly feel their phone vibrate.

According to Dr Robert Rosenberger, philosopher and assistant professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, as many as nine in 10 people will have experienced phantom vibration.

Dr Rosenberger told the BBC that a recent study found 90% of people said they had experienced the phenomenon.

That's up from a 2010 study by Michael Rothberg and colleagues which found the figure to be closer to 70%.

Even worse is having phone on desk/arm of chair and catching a reflection in the corner of your eye when shifting in chair, and thinking there is a notification...
