Ninja Theory has announced it will launch a remastered new-gen version of DmC: Devil May Cry in March next year.
DmC: Definitive Edition will arrive for Xbox One and PS4 on March 17, 2015 with a retail price of £29.99.
The Definitive Edition of the game will come with all previously released DLC, including Vergil’s story campaign, three Dante skins, three weapon skins and the item finder.
But, anyone investing in the Definitive Edition will also be treated to two new skins: Classic Dante and Classic Vergil, and a new Hardcore Mode.
“We’ve revisited DmC: Devil May Cry and improved, optimised and added to the game,” explained Ninja Theory’s Dominic Matthews. “When creating the original DmC there were improvements that we wanted to make, but never got the chance to. In DmC Definitive Edition we have made those improvements.”
Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions will run at 60fps at full 1080p HD.
Textures, characters and cinematics all have the graphical upgrade and the new Hardcore Mode has been tweaked in terms of balance to make ranking up mach harder and ranks deteriorate much quicker.
Players of the last-gen version of DmC might even notice that there’s a brand new cinematic cutscene that never made it into the last game.
“It is not often that a developer gets the opportunity to revisit their game and improve it. We’ve grasped this chance and taken great care to bring DmC: Devil May Cry onto PlayStation 4 in the style that it truly deserves.”
