Disney has recreated Star Wars: The Force Awakens… in emojis

Disney has released a brand new version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which allow fans to enjoy the latest instalment of the saga in a brand new medium.

No, it’s not 4K, it’s not HDR… it’s emoji.

The 7th film in the series has been given the “As told by Emojis” treatment from Disney Interactive Media.

The retelling has been created using some of the emoji that were available on Twitter during the release window in December.

Gladly, you don’t have to sit through two hours of emojis in order to enjoy the newfangled interpretation, the story has been condensed down to three minutes.

Before you think about writing a strongly-worded letter to George Lucas savaging him for selling up to Disney in the first place, give this a watch. It’s actually pretty good… well better than Episode II at least.
