Dishonored 2 officially announced with new female assassin

Dishonored 2 is official and Bethesda has given us our first look at the follow-up to Dishonored

After accidently leaking details on its Twitch stream, Bethesda used its first ever E3 press conference to announce that Dishonored 2 is coming to the PS4, PC and Xbox One in Spring 2016.

Like the Bafta Award-winning original, there’s more first person stealth action with the Empire of the Isles once again under threat.

This time you’ll have the choice of two characters to play with. Corvo is now joined by Emily Kaldwin who also appeared in the first game as the rightful heir to the throne.

While story details or information on the Corvo and Emily’s powers are still thin on the ground, the announcement trailer did give us a glimpse into the new environment and the steampunk-style foes you’ll come up against.

We did get to see Emily in action in an assassination mission using her grappling hook to scale up buildings.

In other Dishonored-related news, a new enhanced version of the original is coming to the Xbox One and the PS4. Along with enhanced graphics it’ll also feature all of the DLC content.

Dishonored Definitive edition is going to be available from August this year, so there won’t be too long to wait if you want to catch up before Dishonored 2 lands next year.
