Did Samsung reveal tablet launch in the Note 5 event teaser?

Samsung’s Unpacked event is only days away, and we thought we had a good idea of what was in store.

However, a new teaser from the South Korean tech giant appears to hint at a tablet being launched.

The image depicts three shadowy devices. The first two appear to be obvious – the much-rumoured Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus.

However, there’s a third device included and it’s significantly bigger than both of the aforementioned devices. Specifically, it’s tablet-sized.

Samsung has only recently revealed its two new flagship Galaxy Tab S2 tablets, so this could be a hint that the company is to show off the devices further at the event.

However, the tablet pictured looks different: (1) the edge is metal, not plastic; and (2) this tablet is slightly curved.

Previous rumours have suggested that Samsung’s third device at Unpacked will be a wearable, namely the Gear A smartwatch.

Perhaps Samsung is winding us all up and the curved device is actually just a scaled-up shadowy render of its smartwatch frame.

Fortunately, we don’t have long to wait to find out; the event is scheduled for 13 August.
