Studio artwork also available.
Dell’s Mini 10 has been a bit of a development piece. First the system was garnered with a 1,366 x 768 pixel, 720p-compatible display option (for only £15!) and now it’s also available with a six-cell battery and, less notably, in Dell’s Studio artwork.
Currently the upgrades are only in the US, but it seems only reasonable to think they’ll migrate across in due course. Adding a six cell battery, in addition to providing improved longevity, costs $30. Hopefully we’ll be looking at £15-odd considering the direct dollar-to-pound translation of the display upgrade.
The Studio designs are an arguably less compelling addition, priced at $60 (~£40) a piece but offering only aesthetic improvement. As snazzy as I think the artwork looks, I’d rather put that money towards adding a faster CPU, more capacious battery and higher resolution screen to the Mini 10, were I in the market for a netbook.
