Deezer upgrades iPad and Mac offerings ahead of Apple Music launch

Deezer has launched a revamped version of its iPad app, as well as a new Deezer Mac application.

The streaming service claims the iPad app has been optimised to make it quicker and easier to access music.

One new feature for the iPad app is something called ‘Flow’. It’s a custom mix of music, based on your listening tastes.

There’s also ‘Hear This’, which gives you a personalised feed of albums, tracks, and playlist recommendations curated by editors, again based on your tastes.

The app also includes Deezer’s new podcast section, which you’ll find in the News & Entertainment menu category.

It touts upwards of 20,000 podcasts and radio shows, and includes content providers like Slate and the Financial Times.

The launch of Deezer for Mac is also another push for dominance on Apple’s operating systems.

Deezer is offering up 30 million tracks on the Mac app, as well as features like ‘offline mode’ and track-queuing.

You can access Deezer for free, while Premium+ costs £9.99 per month. There’s also an Elite subscription option, which is priced at £14.99 each month.
