Amazon has been holding its Black Friday event for nearly two weeks now, but today might be the best for deals thus far.
If you're living stateside, you'll be pleased to know the online retail giant has discounted its range of Alexa-assisted smart speakers, with the Amazon Echo reduced by $40 to just $139.99.
The voice-activated Echo is a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi speaker that comes with Amazon's digital assistant Alexa built in, and is one of the most innovative products of 2016.
Alexa will listen to commands, answer questions, play music or control smart home devices. She can also interact with third-party apps, answer questions, and even help you do your shopping.
And if you don't fancy going for the full Echo, Amazon US has also slashed the price of the Echo Dot by $40, which comes with all the same functionality but hooks up to your own speakers rather than coming with speakers built in.
And that's not all. The Echo Tap, which is a portable version of the full Echo, has also had $40 knocked off the price, so you can pick one up for the very reasonable price of $89.99.
With the Tap, you have to hit the button on the front of the speaker to enable voice activation, rather than simply speaking (otherwise the battery would likely be dead in an hour of so).
If you're not convinced by any of the Echo deals, there's a load of discounts elsewhere, ready to be snapped up. The Amazon Fire TV has been discounted by $15, while the Fire TV Stick has also had $10 knocked off its price.
Or perhaps you'd be more interested in an e-reader? If so, check out this deal on a Kindle Voyage, which has been discounted from $199.99 to $169.99.
