Dead Island: Riptide holds firm at top of UK All Format Gaming Chart

Dead Island: Riptide has ranked at the top of the UK All Format Gaming Chart for the second week in a row, unchallenged in a week of no new releases.

Holding firm in its position as the highest selling game in the UK, Dead Island: Riptide has held onto the top spot after entering in first place last week.

Previous chart leader Injustice: Gods Among Us was knocked off the top spot by Dead Island: Riptide, but is still strong in second place behind Deep Silver’s survival game.

This week’s number three is Tomb Raider, another previous UK All Format Gaming Chart number one, having risen from fifth place this week bolstered by improving sales.

With the football season drawing to a close, EA Games’ FIFA 13 sales have also picked up, seeing the game launch into fourth place from its seventh position last week.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen currently resides in fifth place. Entering the chart at number three last week, the game introduces a wealth of new material and features alongside the original game.

A re-entry into the top ten this week came in the guise of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 in sixth place from last week’s eleventh. Bioshock Infinite is still doing well, only dropping one place to seventh for the week ending May 4.

Two Nintendo games hold eighth and ninth place this week, with Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins still at eighth and Luigi’s Mansion 2 rising to ninth from its tenth place spot last week.

The movie spin-off videogame Star Trek, which we only gave a 5/10 in our review, dropped a huge six places this week and filed in at tenth position for this week.

Looking forward to the new releases for this year? We’ve picked our best games of 2013.
