Day One Xbox One stock still being offered by Zavvi

Eager gamers after a next-gen console take note, online retailer Zavvi is still offering Day One Xbox One stock just days before the 360 follow-on goes on sale.

With the Xbox One release date set to be held this Friday, November 22, former high street presence Zavvi is currently listing “limited Day One stock” as available for pre-order.

Bundling the console with a free copy of FIFA 14, the retailer has suggested that gamers quick enough to snap up the few remaining Day One consoles will have their next-generation Xbox offering hitting their doorstep in just two days’ time.

For those put off by the Xbox One’s premium price tag when compared with the rival PS4, Zavvi has another treat in store, well, sort of. The retailer is offering the console a full five pence cheaper than its standard retail price, charging £428.95 for the Day One console. The PS4 price has been set at £349 in the UK.

Despite Zavvi still offering some Day One Xbox One stock, rival retailer Amazon has already confirmed that it has already sold out of all its pre-Christmas Xbox One stock.

The retailer last week revealed that all new Xbox One pre-orders it received would now not ship until after the festive period.

“Orders placed from November 13 may not be delivered before Christmas,” a note on the retailer’s Xbox One product listing states.

Yesterday supermarket chain Asda announced it still had limited Day One Xbox One stock available before the remaining few consoles sold out within a matter of hours.
