Dark Souls Remastered has been announced for Nintendo Switch

Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dark Souls Remastered will also be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC with new enhancements and features. It is planned to launch alongside the Nintendo Switch release on May 25.

The port is developed by From Software and will be capable of running at upscaled 4K resolutions and at 60fps on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The Nintendo Switch version will run at 1080p/30fps while docked, Bandai Namco confirmed in a press release.

From Software’s Dark Souls is coming to Nintendo Switch, the company confirmed in a Direct presentation earlier today.

The critically acclaimed RPG was previously available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC before being followed-up by two similarly beloved sequels.

Now, From Software’s Souls series is coming to Nintendo platforms for the first time with this upcoming remaster set to launch on May 25, 2018.

Nintendo confirmed in a press release shortly after the presentation that Dark Souls Remastered will include improved visuals, resolution and performance over the original alongside all its post-launch DLC.

Dark Souls is an excellent RPG that essentially crafted a new genre with its challenging combat and rewarding exploration. 

From Software and Bandai Namco are yet to confirm whether the remaster is coming to other platforms such as PS4 and Xbox One, although we’ll update this piece once we hear more.
