Rumours of a Dark Souls III release at E3 seem to be right on the money, as a telling promotional image has leaked online.
IGN appears to have received a piece of promotional artwork for the third game in the Dark Souls series. As you can see from the apparently official image published below, this very explicitly points out that Dark Souls III will launch in “Early 2016.”
Just last week the rumour appeared that Dark Souls III would be launched at E3 2015, which takes place this Monday June 15.
According to that rumour, Dark Souls III is being directed by the man who steered the series to its current legendary status, Hidetaka Miyazaki.
Miyazaki had directed both Demon Souls and Dark Souls, but merely supervised the production of Dark Souls II as he concentrated on directing Bloodborne.
As it turned out, the latter game was rapturously received, while Dark Souls II disappointed some hardcore fans (despite still being a very good game).

The return of Miyazaki to the series, then, will be very big news indeed.
