Dark Souls 3 DLC announcement teased for next week

Bandai Namco recently took to Twitter to tease an upcoming announcement for Dark Souls 3.

The tease was incredibly light on specific details, giving us nothing but an image and a date: August 24.

Describing it as a “major announcement” has us believing that an announcement regarding the first major piece of DLC is pretty likely.

Bloodborne, the last title by From Software, saw its first and only piece of downloadable content launch in November 2015, Dark Souls 3 could well do the same this year.

This will be the first of two planned expansions for Dark Souls 3, which will both be available as part of the £19.99 expansion pass on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

From Software has done a fantastic job of post-launch content with past games in the franchise, so with any luck, Dark Souls 3 will do the same.

We gave Dark Souls 3 an impressive 8/10 in our review, praising its gorgeously atmospheric world and deep, tactical combat.
