The Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin patch notes have outlined the changes coming to the online segment and more.
Bandai Namco has published the patch notes for the free February 5 1.10 update for Dark Souls 2.
Gamers currently playing the last gen edition of Dark Souls 2 on PS3 and Xbox 360 will get the free 1.10 update on February 5, which will bring a new character, general tweaks and improvements and online multiplayer adjustments.
The free patch will arrive ahead of the release of the Dark Souls 2: Scholar of First Sin on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on April 7.
This is the remastered version of Dark Souls 2, which comes complete with the Three Crowns DLC.

The upcoming Dark Souls 2 update 1.10 will include “new story elements to prepare for The Scholar of the First Sin” and Bandai Namco promises to add in all the improvements it “can possibly give”.
Those improvements incorporate matchmaking and online tweaks and additions, such as the bonfire wrap selection screen. This highlights the top three active areas.
As for matchmaking, players on their first run-through will be able to be matched with players on their second or beyond run-through.
Bandai Namco has also made it so that invading players will not be able to use items that invite more enemies and the effect of the Human Effigy can be cancelled at bonfires.
There’s also a new item inbound too, which is called the Agape ring. It absorbs souls during online play and Bandai Namco states that users can use it to “control their online matchmaking experience by limiting their total souls collected.”
