It’s a generator that uses your pedal power to power your lights and charge your phone. But
The Cydekick Pro features a phone holder on the handlebars where you can place your mobile. And a USB out that can charge phones, cameras, action cameras, GPS etc. It comes with a high-intensity LED headlight too – housed in what it calls The Pod – and you can add other plug-n-play lighting accessories.
If you don’t want to bother with the phone charger, opt for the Cydekick Mini. It’s the same kit, but without the USB output and phone holder.
The generator sits on the back wheel and is pretty discreet. The whole system is green, silent, and aims to get people out of their cars and onto their bikes. Offering a charging port is certainly one way to do that.

To bag the Cydekick Mini, you’ll have to pledge $150 (£96), though there are only a handful of them left at that price. The Cydekick Pro starts at $275 (£176). The Mini ships in July next year, and the Pro in September next year.
The firm also offers a range of hand-painted fixie bikes, with prices starting at $1,200 (£770).
