CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 will be “far, far bigger than The Witcher 3.”
The upcoming sci-fi role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 will be significantly larger than CD Projekt Red’s last effort, The Witcher 3: WIld Hunt.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be the next game by CD Projekt Red, and is currently in development at the studio.
Speaking to MCV UK in a recent interview, visual effects artist Jose Teixeira said, “Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before... far, far bigger."
Teixeira also expanded upon how the development of The Witcher series has prepared them for Cyberpunk 2077.
"The Witcher helped Cyberpunk quite a bit, because the game got so big and so complex that it really taught us," he said.
"We really didn't know what was going to happen. If anything, working on The Witcher 3 was a really good and often brutal learning experience. Cyberpunk is going to benefit greatly from it. I can almost guarantee it."

Cyberpunk 2077 was first unveiled in May 2012, although very little was known about the title, not even a name.
The game will be based on Mike Pondsmith’s pen and paper RPG system, taking direct inspiration from tabletop style gaming.
CD Projekt Red has stated that it won’t be talking about the Cyberpunk 2077 in detail until 2017, opting instead to focus on The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3 launched earlier this year to critical and commercial success, earning a perfect score in our review.
Hearts of Stone is the first major expansion for The Witcher 3, which is due for release on October 13.
