The secret to success in the mobile gaming world seems to be simplicity is best, and Cut The Rope has proven that on the iPhone - and now it’s available on Android devices.
Those of you who have played the game on iOS devices will know the additive pleasure of feeding the insatiable Om Nom. Now ZeptoLab, the mobile game development studio behind Cut The Rope, has announced that the game is available ad-free on the Android Market for 62p. The game came to prominence late last year when it was made available for Apple’s devices. It rose to the top of the games charts in the App Store having been downloaded 40 million times with an average rating of 4.81 out of 5.
Cut the Rope is a physics-based puzzler that challenges you to cut an increasingly complicated series of ropes to release candy into the mouth of Om Nom, a cute and ravenous little green creature, while capturing a series of stars along the way. With half a million Android devices being activated every week, according to Google exec Andy Rubin, the game is sure to continue its success on the Android platform.
The game is now available in the Android Market and the Amazon Appstore and will run on any device running Android 1.6 (Donut) or higher.
