Creative Draco HS880 launched as affordable gaming headset

The Creative Draco HS880 has been launched as an affordable gaming headset.

Retailing for just £49.99, the Creative Draco has been designed to offer great gaming audio as well as doubling as over-ear headphones for out and about.

The Creative Draco HS880 comes equipped with finely-tuned 40mm Neodymium drivers for delivering booming bass and a more realistic soundscape.

Creative has used full-sized earcups with soft leatherette material for helping to isolate background noises, while keeping the headset comfortable to wear.

It doesn’t seem like this affordable headset comes with noise cancellation technology in-built though.

There is a noise-cancelling microphone though, which filters out background noise for enhanced vocal clarity.

Thanks to the fact you can detach the flexible microphone boom, you can turn the Draco HS880 into a pair of headphones that you wouldn’t mind wearing on the street.

The headband has a steel core for a precise fit and endurance, especially for travelling. The Draco HS800 earcups also swivel to make the headset lie flat for increased portability.

We like the fact the look of the Draco HS880 is fairly understated too, so you might actually not feel embarrassed wearing them in public.

There’s in-line controls on the Draco HS880 as well, including a mute function that enables private conversations during gameplay. That means all the volume controls are at your fingertips, rather than being on the headset itself.

You can purchase the Draco HS880 now from the Creative website.
