According to a now pulled Amazon Canada listing, the PlayStation VR price could be higher than the Oculus Rift.
We have always believed the PlayStation VR, aka Project Morpheus, won’t cost more than the Oculus Rift, but a new leak suggests that might be the case.
A new report by Forbes states that a now pulled listing for the PlayStation VR on Amazon Canada listed the price as a whopping $1,125 Candian dollars.
That equates to around £550 here in the UK. Of course, the way exchange rates work, in reality that will probably be quite a bit more.
In US dollars, that would be $800, which is $200 more than the $599 Oculus Rift launch price.
If the Canadian leak followed the same conversion rate used by Oculus for the £499 Rift price, you could be looking at a circa £670 UK price for the Project Morpheus.

As you’d expect, Sony is saying the listing was “an error by Amazon” as it “hasn’t announced the price for PlayStation VR”.
Strange though that the company doesn’t actually mention whether the price is incorrect.
Earlier this week, a SuperData report predicted that the PlayStation VR would retail for between $400-$600.
