Samsung may be planning to reveal a new 'Blue Coral' version of the its popular Galaxy S7 Edge phone, possibly in an effort to reverse some of the damage caused by the exploding Note 7 fiasco.
Ever since Note 7 sales went up in flames a few weeks ago, Samsung has been trying to put the infamous Note 7 debacle behind them. A leaked image of the Galaxy S7 Edge phone in the popular Blue Coral colour might well reveal their saving grace.
Coincidentally (or not at all, perhaps), Blue Coral was the most popular colour of the failed Note 7 range by a considerable margin. So we reckon it’s almost certainly an attempt to fill the void of the ill-fated phablet.

While the image shows the Blue Coral colouring, it also shows Verizon branding. Perhaps this confirms a previous leak which suggested the phone will launch with Verizon in the US first – or perhaps even exclusively? We won’t know for certain until next year when the colour is expected to launch. In any case, the Blue Coral colour hasn't been confirmed, so take it with a healthy pinch of salt. Of course, we’ll be sure to keep you updated with any new developments in the ongoing Samsung saga.
Things have gone from bad to worse for Samsung over the past month, as the South Korean tech giant grapples with ongoing Galaxy Note 7 problems. The company has now shuttered sales of the handset completely, and advised Note 7 owners to turn their phones off indefinitely.
