Check out the blind gamer who beat The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

A blind gamer has successfully completed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time after five long years.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time poses a bit of challenge under normal circumstances, so imagine completing it without your eyesight.

Terry Garrett did exactly that, a blind gamer who adores games despite his visual impairment.

In the past, Garrett has completed games such as Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus and Bit Trip Runner using his own unique method of play.

By using sound recognition and a twin-speaker setup, Garrett is able to enjoy games like the rest of us, albeit with a lot of trial and error.

Thanks to this, Garrett is able to navigate and interact with the game’s world by following subtle sounds in the environment.

You can watch Garrett’s playthrough in its entirety over on his YouTube Channel, where you can also check out gameplay sessions of Abe’s Exoddus and Bit Trip Runner.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time first released in November 1998 for the Nintendo 64, and is still regarding as one of the best games of all time.

It’s amazing that so many people can experience it, especially someone like Terry Garrett.

Any idea what he should play next?
