Making a guest appearance during yesterday’s ARMs Nintendo Direct, the paint-based shooter is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on July 21.
It seems players will be tasked with helping Marie, one half of the iconic Squid Sisters, defeat the Octarian menace during the single-player campaign.
Splatoon 2 will once again include an assortment of solo levels that will have you taking part in combat, puzzles and creative platforming sections.

In addition to Splatoon 2’s solo offering, Nintendo also revealed some Switch accessories set to launch alongside the game.
All of these peripherals are themed after the main colour scheme of Splatoon 2 as well as featuring a bunch of cool decals inspired by the game. They all look pretty damn snazzy.
