An iPhone charging box of KFC is the best idea ever

There’s nothing more frustrating than running out of battery on your phone when you’re on the move. Step forward an unlikely saviour in KFC.

Even if you remember to bring a cable and plug with you, crawling around the floor of the local pub or coffee shop looking for a socket is far from ideal.

The solution? It’s way more delicious than you could have ever imagined.

KFC India has unveiled an all-new meal box that comes with a built-in power bank, so you can charge you phone while you enjoy some of the Colonel’s greasy treats.

The futuristic Watt a Box is a variation of KFC’s 5-in-1 Meal Box that features a removable 6,100mAh battery and supports USB cables for Android, as well as Apple’s Lightning standard for iPhones.

Sadly, fried chicken that saves your cell’s skin probably isn’t coming to the local high street any time soon – the juiced-up chicken boxes are a limited edition run that will be given away as part of a competition in Delhi and Mumbai.

A marketing stunt, in other words, but one we’d happily fall for.

How do you keep your phone charged when you’re out and about? Let us know in the comments below.
