You can play online on PS4 for free later this week
Sony has announced it will be holding a PlayStation Plus Open Multiplayer event later this week on PS4.
The upcoming promotion, taking place from 10am GMT on November 15 until 10am GMT on November 20, will unlock all major features of the online service for free.
This means you’ll be free to partake in online multiplayer across a variety of titles with no restrictions. If you’ve yet to subscribe, this trial sounds like a cool way to try things out.
You should be able to download the free titles currently available on PlayStation Plus, although you’ll require an active subscription for them to remain playable once the trial ends.

Sony’s latest console, PS4 Pro, is capable of HDR and 4K-upscaling through a checkerboarding technique. It’s a sleek, powerful console, earning 8/10 in our review.
‘The PS4 Pro has some niggles, but it also offers the power that you’d struggle to find out of a high-end gaming PC. If you’ve yet to adopt a console of this generation, I’d say it’s a no-brainer.’
Although, with Xbox One X now out in the wild, you’ve got a duo of 4K powerhouses to choose from at differing price points.
