Call of Duty's most annoying Killstreak is back in Infinite Warfare

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will the see the return of the Tactical Nuke, a killstreak made famous by 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.

Developed by Infinity Ward, Infinite Warfare will reintroduce the 25 kill streak as a weapon attachment, requiring you to rack up kills with a specific firearm before blowing everyone to pieces.

This news comes from Youtuber IncredibleOrb, who recently posted a video whilst in attendance at Call of Duty XP.

“I can happily confirm that the tactical nuke, the 25 kill streak is back in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but with a bit of a twist”

“There are a lot of things not confirmed yet with the nuke. It is a 25 kill streak and that is with the same gun, and how it works is you actually put it on as a gun perk, not an attachment, but a gun perk.”

Incredible Orb goes onto to say that this change was designed “specifically for streamers and youtubers” wanting to attempt and create crazy challenge videos.

“It is a 25 kill streak with the same gun, so I’m assuming the scavenger [perk] is going to be a must, if not then you’ll need to use some kind of energy-based weapon that recharges”.

“I’m not sure if it’s game-ending, we haven’t confirmed that yet. We’re not sure if it kills your team too which has been the case in the past.”

Incredible Orb also points out that practices such as “nuke-boosting” giving certain teams an unfair advantage should be tackled with this new killstreak, or at least prevent a nuke from ending the game.

The Tactical Nuke killstreak is currently “on lockdown” at Call of Duty XP, with no streamers or journalists able to obtain it as of yet.

It is unclear whether or not the killstreak will be present in both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare: Remastered, but it seems quite likely.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to launch on November 4, 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
