Turtle Beach has announced a new partnership with Activision to bring a new line of limited edition Call of Duty: Ghosts gaming headsets.
Call of Duty: Ghosts fans will be able to purchase limited edition branded Turtle Beach headsets that have been specially optimised to complement Infinity Ward and Activision’s upcoming title.
The new headsets feature Call of Duty: Ghosts branding on the headband and ear cups with what Turtle Beach are calling premium finishes. Purchases of the headsets will also include bonus content as part of the partnership between Turtle Beach and Activision.
“Turtle Beach is honoured to continue our relationship with Activision and Call of Duty,” said Bob Picunko, CMO at Turtle Beach. “And we couldn’t be more excited to work with the talented team at Infinity Ward on Call of Duty: Ghosts. There’s nothing quite like Call of Duty.”
Turtle Beach will also be running a Call of Duty Championship as one of the launch marketing initiatives, where COD gamers can compete using Turtle Beach headsets in tournaments.
“This year, Call of Duty Ghosts will absolutely immerse fans to a new level, and Turtle Beach will be there to deliver the innovative gaming accessories for Call of Duty fans to fully enjoy for current and next-generation consoles alike.”
Call of Duty: Ghosts was officially announced on May 1 and will be the first in the COD series to feature a canine companion for the squad, sniffing out explosives, acting a drone spy with camera and microphone mounted on him and aiding the team in other ways.
Players will be able to experience underwater combat and forest-based gameplay along with the new controllable canine features.
Activision has scheduled the Call of Duty: Ghosts release date for November 5, shipping on the Xbox 360, PS3 and the next-generation Xbox One and PS4 consoles.
