Treyarch has announced a new Parkour racing mode for Call of Duty Black Ops 3.
If you thought the one thing Call of Duty needed was more free-running, you’re in luck!
Treyarch has announced an all new mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 that allows players to race across parkour driven obstacle courses.
The new mode can be played solo or alongside friends as you race across courses navigating the environment and shooting targets.
“This mode as a whole is all about managing your thrust meter and the budget that thrust meter gives you,” developer Treyarch said in a new video.
Any mistakes made by the player during a stage will have a noticeable impact on their overall time, so timing and reflexes are absolutely vital.
It seems you will be able to pick up a selection of firearms whilst in the air to fire at targets, forcing you to adapt to a number of dynamic situations.
“We put the weapon challenges in so you can master your movement with respect to the guns,” Treyarch said.
Treyarch has also said that the parkour mode will become more difficult as you progress, throwing in and mixing together obstacles in later courses.

Other new additions to Black Ops 3 include a “realistic difficulty” setting where players will die after taking a single hit from an enemy.
All of the campaign missions will be available from the outset too, a model which takes inspiration from Netflix, according to Treyarch.
Unfortunately the PS3 and 360 versions of the game will not include the single-player portion of the game, selling for a lower price as a result.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will launch on November 6 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
