Activision has announced the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Ascendance DLC.
Arriving on March 31 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, the Advanced Warfare Ascendance DLC offers four brand new maps for the game and a new Exo Grapple ability playlist.
Exo Grapple gives you an all new and faster way to reach vantage points and use it as a secondary weapon just on the Ascendance maps.
“Ascendance has it all, four all-new maps that were designed from the ground up for Exo abilities and the next chilling entry in the Exo Zombies experience,” explains Michael Condrey, co-founder and studio head of Sledgehammer Games. “We’re really excited and can’t wait to play with the community in just a couple of weeks.”
The Ascendance maps are:
Perplex – This Sydney-based map is a vertical challenge that will enable you to scale a five-story apartment complex. You have the choice whether to take the higher ground or opt for close-quarters combat. Construction drones will start to shift apartment modules mid-match so you’ll have to learn new routes and positionings.
Site 244 – This otherworldy map sees you fight over a crash-landed alien spacecraft in the shadow of Mt. Rushmore. It has a three-lane map that guides you through the space ship’s fuselage and around the debris. If you get the map-based scoresteak to open up the alien spore.
Climate – Taking another tact, Climate sees you fight your way across a futuristic man-made utopia in a climate-controllled enclosure. This is a circular map with both land and water routes to get you around the central island. The water will change from an asset to a bubbling obstacle though, so be careful.
Chop Shop – This map explores an exoskeleton black market industrial complex with a special map-based scorestreak that allows you to take control of an Advanced Repulsion Turret that emits a deadly microwave EMP.
“The community response to Advanced Warfare continues to inspire us and we’re pushing ourselves every day across all the teams to deliver our best,” said Glen Schofield, co-founder and studio head of Sledgehammer Games. “Havoc was a great start for DLC and we think Ascendance delivers even more of the nonstop action fans love.”
There’s also a brand new episode for the Exo Zombies saga to play through too, located on the outskirts of an Atlas facility full of new traps. Plus, there’s a chance to explore the fast food joint, Burgertown.
