Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty 2016 is happening, and it's being developed by Infinity Ward.
It might feel like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was only just released, but Activision isn't slowing the pace, with Infinity Ward confirming it's working on the next COD title.
Infinity Ward announced the news via it's official Twitter channel, complete with a snazzy new look office sign:
The game will apparently be released in Q4 2016, but that's the usual release slot for Call of Duty so that doesn't come as much of a surprise.
We sadly don't know what form the Call of Duty of 2016 will take, but we have high hopes for this one.
Infinity Ward released the original Call of Duty and the Modern Warfare sub-franchaise. It was also responsible for Call of Duty Ghosts.
