Fans of the Burnout franchise have been very vocal about the possible release of Burnout Paradise on the Xbox One, and it seems they finally have their wish.
Criterion Games tweeted the following when answering a fan’s question yesterday, confirming the release:
“Yes there was, and yes it is... It's in the pipe, five-by-five. Stay tuned for a date though”
The second Microsoft announced the backwards compatibility programme for Xbox One, passionate fans were eager to request Burnout Paradise.
For Xbox 360 games to be playable on Xbox One they must first be approved by the previous developers and publishers, so it’s not as easy as we thought.
This is awesome news however, and a clear sign that more and more 360 games are making their way to the Xbox One.

It was announced earlier this month that former Criterion developers are working on a spiritual successor to the beloved Burnout franchise.
Three Fields Entertainment has said the successor will be based on Burnout 3: Takedown, which originally released on the Xbox and PS2.
Microsoft confirmed the release for the new Xbox Experience dashboard and backwards compatibility yesterday.
The update will be available to all Xbox One users on November 12 as a free download.
Xbox Experience and backwards compatibility have been available for Xbox Preview Program members for some time now.
