Budget iPhone 5C hi-res images leak along with iPhone 4 rivalling price tag

Hi-res image of the budget iPhone 5C have emerged online, alongside the first pricing details that could see the mid-range handset battle against the iPhone 4.

Coming from the budget iPhone video leaked late last month, hi-res Budget iPhone 5C images have emerged online showcasing the plastic body and inner component chassis for the mid-range handset.

However, the latest pictures of the plastic iPhone come with a pricing tip that should see the iPhone 5C line-up against the iPhone 4.

According to a prominent commenter on Chinese social media site Weibo, the budget iPhone will launch for 3000 yuan SIM-free. This equates to around £320, which is the current pricing for the SIM-free 8GB version of the iPhone 4.

Earlier this week, it emerged that the budget iPhone is predicted to outsell the iPhone 5S and with such a potentially competitive price point it may well succeed.

If it does cost around £320, it would match the budget iPhone against similarly priced new handsets like the HTC One mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 mini.

Budget iPhone Rumours
The budget iPhone is strongly expected to launch on September at a dedicated Apple event alongside the new flagship iPhone 5S.

Both handsets will run the new iOS 7 due to be release sometime in the autumn, with the budget iPhone featuring the same 4-inch 1136 x 640p resolution screen as the current iPhone 5.

The plastic bodied Apple smartphone is tipped to launch in six to eight colours, including the red, yellow, green, white and blue options already spotted online.

It is expected to have an 8-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera.

As for design, expect it to bare resemblances to the 5th generation iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS, despite only being a tad thicker and wider than the iPhone 5.
