BT internet down? Thousands of users say broadband not working

Update: A BT spokesperson told TrustedReviews: “A small number of BT customers had difficulty accessing certain websites or applications for less than ten minutes this afternoon.

The spokesperson continued: “We are continuing to investigate this and there are currently no indications that it was an issue with our network.”

We should also note that a number of other providers experienced similar issues, including Virgin Media and TalkTalk. Some websites were also struggling to load, including Amazon, EA, Ebay, Spotify, WhatsApp, and Facebook. We’re still not sure why – stay tuned.

Is your BT internet not working? You’re not alone – thousands of users have reported issues with the service today.

It appears that BT broadband is not working for some customers, without service tracker DownDetector listing over 2,000 problem reports within the last hour. The issues don’t appear to be localised either, with reports logged across England, Scotland, and Wales.
