Bowers & Wilkins Z2 wireless music system launches
Bowers & Wilkins has announced its latest wireless speaker dock, the Bowers & Wilkins Z2, complete with Apple AirPlay and Lightning pin connector compatibility.
The compact and well-designed Bowers & Wilkins Z2 includes Flowport technology that it claims keeps bass performance noise-free and the drive units offer great sound quality no matter how loud it’s turned up.
Bowers & Wilkins also revealed that it will be releasing an updated version of its Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air iPhone dock, now with AirPlay and Lightning pin connector integrated into its distinctive design.
Bowers & Wilkins Z2 Features
The new Bowers & Wilkins Z2 has been updated to offer the latest Apple connector, the Lightning pin, which replaced the 30-pin connector from previous iOS devices. This means that the latest B&W speaker is compatible with the iPhone 5 and latest generation of iPod Touch and iPod Nano.
Users can also stream music via their iPad or other iOS devices like a Mac to the Bowers & Wilkins Z2 due to the fact that it is inbuilt with Apple’s AirPlay wireless technology. All they would need is a Wi-Fi connection and a device running iTunes to unlock the Bowers & Wilkins Z2’s wireless potential. Making it even more straightforward to use, Bowers & Wilkins supply a setup app free to download from the App Store.
Featuring an unique design, the Bowers & Wilkins Z2 protects upgraded drive units for rich sound quality with a curved metal grille, with Flowport technology integrated to produce clear bass tones. Overall, Bowers & Wilkins claims its newest music system is capable of producing natural, controlled sound without compromising on the volume levels.
The latest in amp technology, combined with Bowers & Wilkins custom-designed Digital Signal Processing means the Bowers & Wilkins Z2 offers wireless music streaming with good sound quality, all from a compact speaker.
