The Bowers & Wilkins T7 has been officially unveiled as the premium audio specialist jumps on the Bluetooth speaker bandwagon.
Joining the likes of Jawbone, Beats, Bose, Logitech and Jabra (to name just a few), the T7 brings high-end style to the increasingly crowded portable speaker space. With a £300 price tag, this speaker is designed to be more akin to a home audio system than a picnic party maker.
“T7 is the most portable standalone speaker Bowers & Wilkins has ever produced,” an official company representative said. “The size of a hardback book, it’s designed to be picked up and carried with you.”

Utilising a pair of 50mm drivers and two class D amplifiers, the B&W T7 promises big sound from its relatively compact form. Unlike many of its rivals, bass shouldn’t be sacrificed the higher up the volume channel you go, either. The speaker has been fitted with force-cancelling high-output bass radiators to reduce rattle and vibrations.
Promising 18 hours of play time on a single charge, the truly portable T7 benefits from aptX enhanced Bluetooth connectivity.
Pairing its premium sound with an equally high-end design, the T7 features a protective, ruggedized rubber surround over a resonance reducing Micro Matric honeycomb structure.
No Bluetooth speaker worth its weight would be complete without an irritating audio cue to accompany every power up or down, and the T7 is no different. In fact, B&W have gone above and beyond on this front. The T7 features carefully crafted irritating cues, penned by international composer and artist Mira Calix.
